The Last Trip To Gandahar – Spirit of Harmony – LV Premier & EP Review

The Last Trip To Gandahar is on a seriously hot streak at the moment, we hosted his excellent remix of Felipe Gordon’s Deep Fried Banana earlier in the week and today we have the premier for Spirit of Harmony which is taken from his ‘Higher EP’.

Spirit of Harmony is a percussive jazz inflected house track, it’s all about off kilter bass and piano loops combining with a huge drum kit, club heavy percussion and divine vocal samples. This is a track which is as much fun as it is a proper dancefloor groove.

The rest of the EP is super tasty too. Lead track ‘Higher’ features the classy vocals of Erik Rico and is a super charged funk diamond of house track. Expect to hear this a peak time tearing up the dance-floor at some of the hottest spots in Ibiza this year. It’s everything that house music should be combing dancefloor nous with more than enough passion for repeated home listens.

Track 2 ‘Through the time’ is a another gem fusing African chants with powerful synths and speaker shaking percussion. another sure thing for the dancefloor.

Next up is the Byron The Aquarius remix of title track ‘Higher’, retaining the vocals its a slightly more chilled affair, with smooth keys and a powerful percussion groove.

Another brilliant release from the City Fly camp.
