The Planets Won’t Let You Sleep Tonight – Destroy Beautiful Things

Released by Speed of Dark matter ‘Destroy Beautiful Things’ is an extremely powerful track. Recorded in back in 2009 by Kasson Crooker and Sonja Eve Tea (aka 3v3.t3a) as part of an album project it is only now seeing the light of day following the passing of Sonja 3v3.t3a.

The album as a whole deals directly with the spectres of lost love and the depths of mental illness, it’s an incredible listen fusing many disparate musical elements from synthpop to trip hop. The vocals are raw and direct, beautifully performed with grace and incredible power. The instrumentation is equally brilliant everything here is perfectly in balance, it’s a magnificent album.
