BoolaBoom – Summerhouse (Art of Tones Remix)

Some Operation is the brainchild of BoolaBoom, a Cork-based twenty-piece band fusing acoustic house music with samba drums and a dozen horn players.

Led by Darragh O’Connor, they’ve graced the Cork Jazz Festival and shared the stage with Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.

Known for their viral street performances, they mix originals with classics in their sets.

“Summerhouse,” produced by O’Connor, embodies their jazz-infused, soulful samba style. Ten drummers recorded live in an empty venue, while the horn section added their parts in a vast warehouse.

Art of Tones remixes “Summerhouse” with his trademark bouncy bass, live guitar licks, and off kilter percussion. Timbales adds to the South American flair, before his mix crescendos with twenty voices on the hook, enhancing the band’s big, bold sound.
