Get Off Your Phone! Mixtape – Mixed by Ben Gomori

Ben Gomori has long been on the Le Visiteur radar, having previously shared remixes and edits of his across the years. A true underground head Ben is a producer, DJ, radio host and Monologues Records label boss and his soundcloud is a go to for me when looking for quality music. From his own output to his long running Turned On show, live sets and lots of great re-shares, if you are looking for a musical treat make sure you check it out.

Ben has just released what is very likely to be one of the tracks of summer 2024 track in the shape of ‘Get Off Your Phone!’ which features an impassioned plea by New York house music, drag and ballroom icon, Kevin Aviance, beseeching clubbers to get off their phones and embrace the moment. Kevin’s ballroom classic ‘Cunty’ was sampled by Beyoncé on ‘PURE/HONEY’ on ‘RENAISSANCE’, and was also introduced on stage by Madonna as part of her recent tour. It’s a plea that anyone who saw clubland before the advent of the Instagram crowd can fully get behind. Also featuring a wicked Wade Teo remix it’s a real must-have.
