Folamour – Umami.
Folamour – Umami.
Hailing from France Folamour has been an artist on a rapid ascent in 2017 and his brand new EP ‘Umami’ on Classic Music could very well be the EP to propel him to the next level of worldwide recognition.
Umami is an absolutely mesmerising EP mixing ridiculously cool samples with some wonderful musicianship and sweet drum programming. Across the 9 tracks the EP covers a lot of ground from the blissed out looped-up house of ‘Devoted to U’ and ‘Night of Desirable Objects’ to the Peanut Butter Wolf-esque jazzy soulful hip-hop intonations of ‘Petit Prince Du Macadam’ and ‘Kick Flipping That Stuff’. Back this up with chilled out vibes on ‘Look At Me’ and I’ll Steal Your Eyes’ and the African disco of ‘Ivoire’ and you can tell that this is a producer who has a deep love for music from many sources and is happy to wear his influences on his sleeve.
The clips are short on this one so just go out and buy it and make sure you give him a follow and spread the word.
10/10 and definitely one of the contenders for EP of the year.
