Kristy Harper’s Full Time Records Italo Top 10
Kristy Harper has appeared on the pages of Le Visiteur quite a few times over the years, she’s an artist who is fully immersed in the both the music and the wider club scene. Surrounded by music from a young age courtesy of her audiophile dad and she plays anything from soul, disco, house and acid to synth pop and rare funk in her energy packed DJ sets. From residencies at XOYO and shows at Olso Hackney and Fabric and to parties for Slothboogie Kristy has made a real name for herself over the last decade.
Her productions have been supported by Radio 1, Rinse FM, Ministry of Sound, Mele, Hot Since 82, PBR Streetgang and many more whilst her own label Sanctified Dreams and clocked up over a millions streams.
This summer Kristy touches down at the brilliant Wild Wood Disco festival along side the likes of Dan Shake, Crazy P, Make A Dance and Itchy Rich. Definitely one for the diary.

I’ve chosen to curate a playlist featuring the top ten tracks from legendary 80s Italo label Full Time Records. Just perfect to get your glutes moving. I made a pact with myself to lift my SAD winter mood by dancing every day, and some of these were staples. Especially Jago ‘I’m going to go’ and Charlie ‘Spacer Woman’. Enjoy!
Jago – I’m going to go
One of the first Full Time Records tunes I bought on vinyl for a Brilliant Corners/Giant Steps stage at Houghton Festival about five years ago.
Charlie – Spacer Woman
This song makes me want to MOVE. I love it so much. The vocal, the bass, the Italo goodness. Mmmm.
Kano – Mad in Love
So many Kano classics on this label. This one’s my fave.
Ago – For You
The production is quite simple on this tune but I just vibe with the little plinky lead, funky bass and 80s vocal. It makes me feel like I’m at a school disco, in a good way.
Evelyn Barry – Take it as a Game
I feel like Evelyn Barry and Jane Fonda should team out for a workout video soundtrack. We played this at my birthday party 80s prosecco workout in a mansion a few years ago and it popped off.
Firefly – Love and Friendship
A more soulful vocal on Full Time, usually I lean towards Italo but this one gets me grooving in the morning with my coffee.
Marzio Dance – You Can Do It
Classic Italo goodness with such a new wave style vocal, kind of if the Pet Shop boys and Pino D’Angelo had a baby
Stage – Dreamin on the Top
Another funky bass and plinky lead that makes me want to groove.
Vin Zee – Funky be Bop
Who doesn’t love a vocoder backing vocal?
Peter Richard – For you, for only you
I personally think this is the ultimate ‘end your workout’ tune, just before the warm down. I really think there should be more Italo workout classes in this world.
