Ilija Rudman – Essential Dynamics – Premier & EP Review

Ilija Rudman and the label he co-owns Imogen Recordings have been on something of a roll recently with a series of sublime releases. Their Gotta Do EP with Darshan JESRANI at the tail end of 2018 was truly superb as was their 12″ with James Perri which you can check HERE. Their latest release is Ilija’s ‘Essential Dynamics’ is a dynamic deep house track with remixes by Ashley Beedle, Kai Alice and Fred Everything.

First up is our premier the original mix. Warm and powerful drums lay the foundation for a wonderfully in your face bassline, add in some energetic synths, smooth pads and some great vocal hooks and this is a timeless track with plenty of power for the dancefloor.

The remix package is packed. Ashley Beedle drops 2 mixes the Afrikanz on Marz Remix and Reprise. On the remix he has added in some huge afro drums and a supercharged bassline turning it into a brilliant speaker shaking peak time club track. The Reprise is a smoother drum less sunset track. Production as you would expect on both is first class.

Fred Everything takes the track even deeper with powerful synth stabs, more prominent pads and some great percussion.

NDATL boss Kai Alice also adds in an Afro tinge although deeper and groovier, an early evening track punctuated by some great work on the keys.

All round this is a rather splendid package and another one which will no doubt do some damage on the sales charts.
