Silk – Somethin’ ‘Bout The Way (LTNG Edit)
[A’sandBees]
Hand the king of re-edits Late Nite Tuff Guy the keys to an unreleased ‘70s Philly International wonders Silk recording and you’ve got yourself a recipe for greatness.
It’s rare to crack the vaults on a recording that’s as good as this, that never saw the light of day. As catchy as they come, singalong sensibilities and musicianship of the highest order with vocal harmonies to match, it’s genuinely astonishing that this never got released.
Who better to tweak this into an all-out disco stomper, than re-edit royalty LNTG who teases in, loops up and adds extra punch to all the elements that make the original such a standout track, before letting loose those joyous vocals.
Big room, full body, DJ friendly business!

Liam Mockridge – Super Sonic Signals
[Super Sonic]
Names like Daft Punk and Jamiroquai come to mind when listening to this funk and pop infused song by Liam Mockridge.
Big horn riffs and sultry strings take this track back in time, while the vocals feel modern and relatable. As a recording artist and record producer, Liam‘s music has an undeniable flavour of 70’s Funk & Soul blended with modern Disco.
Growing up as the youngest of 6 boys, with a half Canadian half Italian heritage, Liam is truly a unique artist by nature. After finding some success as a bedroom producer, he released his first album on the New York Dance Label Soul Clap Records. and he is currently based in Berlin, where he runs a recording studio in an old newspaper factory, working on his second full length album.

North Satellite – Love Is On The One (Darshan Jesrani Remix)
[Startree]
Launched in 2013 by Darshan Jesrani, Startree is excelling in experiments with dance music and releases which promote the values of arrangement, texture and musicality over volume or novelty. All produced and mixed, with few exceptions, by Darshan at his studio in Brooklyn, NY.
Now settled into his North Satellite moniker, Eugene Tambourine’s ongoing mixing sessions at Darshan’s studio have also resulted in North Satellite’s first full-length album ‘Past Life Half-Lived’ signed by Quinn Lamont Luke (Phenomenal Handclap Band/Bing Ji Ling) to his Oaxaca-based label El Triángulo and was released in March of this year.
Eugene’s latest Startree release compiles reworks of Eugene Lemcio’s 2020 EP cut ‘Love Is On The One (No Rues, It’s True)’. Contributors here are fellow New Yorkers, Darshan Jesrani and Shane Moloney in addition to Florian Blauensteiner from Vienna.
