Next up from the ever creative Sonic Soul Orchestra is this exceptional reconstruction of a ‘under the counter’ 90s bootleg, mixing the classic Frankie Knuckles ‘Tears’ with Intense’s ‘Let The Rain Come Down which was massive for New Jersey’s Movin Records. Featuring the glorious gospel tones of Duriel Daley, ‘Dripping & Dropping’ is a sweaty mid tempo club track that is hard to resist. The package comes complete with another classic Jaegerossa remix, adding keys, live strings, brass hooks and an elastic bass-line that will funk you right up.

In 2013, The Numero Group discovered unreleased master tapes, further fueling Pitman’s revival. Collaborating with Kumar McMillan, Pitman released a trilogy of 7′ records on Star Creature, including the acclaimed ‘Chocolate Lover.’ Managed by Numero Group and Star Creature, Pitman’s extensive catalog and new productions culminate in his album ‘Brand New Funk’ (2024), blending vintage, modern, and futuristic funk.
