Originally from Yugoslavia and now residing in Brooklyn after living several years in Moscow Bad Tuner is most certainly an artist on a swift ascent. He has previously released with Kitsuné and TOKiMONSTA’s Young Art. Over the last couple of years his tracks have picked up loads of DJ support and have garnered millions of plays online.
His latest release Weather Report see’s him back on Young Art and it’s a bit of a scorcher. Proving that art can be made out of the most unlikely of places he has crafted a sublime slice of energetic house featuring clips from a late night weather broadcast. Pulling in 808 claps and 909 hi-hats the 303 style acidic bassline gives the track some serious bite offset by classic sounding chords. It has both a classic and a brilliantly contemporary feel.
Topping it all off with some hypnotic vocal samples this is a real class outing from an artist who clearly has a well established musical vision.
The track also comes with a superb video featuring New York flex dance Risa filmed during a late night trip round China Town.
