House of Whales have just dropped an excellent house remix of Childish Gambino’s super controversial summer smash ‘This Is America’. They have completely flipped the track on it’s head from hip-hop meets trap turning it into smooth crossover deep house. A remix which gives this track real legs.
The original track is almost unrecognisable, the vocals are much sparser and work extremely well over a 4/4. The kick drum works in tandem with a bassline packed with tone. The synth packed half speed breakdown also gives the track some serious drama.
