LV Premier – Drop Out Orchestra & Mishell Ivon – He’s Always There (K-Klassic Mix)

Mannix’s Dafia label has been on a bit of a roll recently delivering tasty soul and funk edged house gems aplenty. Their latest release see’s them line up Swedish Nu Disco duo Drop Out Orchestra with their single He’s Always There which boasts remixes from UK house legends K-Klass and label don Mannix alongside the rather excellent original mix.

The original mix combines a super funky bassline with Mishell’s powerful vocal, dropping in guitar licks and brass stabs aplenty for something that is both seriously funky and deliciously slinky.

Our premier today is the K-Klass remix which conjures up memories of some of their smoothest work from the 90’s as re-imagined through a 20’s production lens. Everything we love K-Klass for, the flowing pianos and soulful yet dancefloor rocking delivery are in there. They have also delivered one of their trademark dubs for DJ’s who like a little less vocal in their sets.

Mannix has also delivered a classy mix taking everything that is great from the original and giving it a soulful house meets disco touch.
