Based in LA but originally hailing from the UK Sonic Soul Orchestra aka Jean-Paul Firmin has made a welcome return to production and boy what a return it has been having already released Touch Me with Kathy Brown and You’re the one for me featuring Colonel Abrahms. Mining his 90’s label Interstate for inspiration his latest release see’s him deliver one of the summer anthems in the shape of Happy People on the consistently excellent Tinted. Featuring Phillip Rameriz on vocals and Jay Vegas and Demarkus Lewis on remixing duties it’s a stunning slice of vocal disco edged house music.
Pick of the mixes is Jay Vegas who has has been in stellar form over the last few years delivering a multitude of chart topping tracks which rightfully have seen him entertaining dancefloors across the globe.
Subtle, sumptuous, smooth and with the temperature gauge turned up to Ibiza this is exactly what we need this summer.
Demarkus Lewis also delivers a couple of excellent mixes taking things off in a classic US garage style with jacked up beats and smooth keys all underpinning the already excellent vocal from Phillip Rameriz.
