Sweetwood – Pick Me Up

This is a great fun track with Sweetwood perfectly combining many different styles including disco, funk & Nu Disco. In the release notes they cite some great acts as influences including Roosevelt, Chic, Cut Copy, Kool And The Gang, Yuksek and Breakbot and we can definitely see bits of all of those in there. The playing is very tidy, the bass-sound especially is nice and warm, the interplay between the guitars is great and the vocal is excellent.

All in pick me up is a brilliant summer track.
