Red Baron – Fascinate
Red Baron UK
The only question we should be asking about Ron Basejam and Red Rack’em getting in a studio together is ‘why did it take them so long?’ The Crazy P multi-instrumentalist brings a melodic sheen and strict work ethic to Berman’s idiosyncratic, off kilter sample chops. ‘Fascinate’ is a foot stomping house banger, where urgent popped guitar licks meet a face squinting bassline, mixed over a monster arpeggiated synth bass with a dark hardcore pad that closes proceedings. You need this in your life!

Tina B – Jazzy Sensation (Moodena Remix)
The phenomenal & hugely influential New York downtown scene of the late 70s & 80’s has been widely documented. However there is a missing story that has remained untold until now, the 1981 seminal ‘Jazzy Sensation’ from Arthur Baker & Tina B for Tommy Boy Records and one the very first female raps on record. Featuring 2021 remixes from Moodena & Yam Who? both deliver some serious studio action, Tina B now sees a welcome return for Midnight Riot and without doubt it’s a future block party anthem.
