In a year where everything changed for the electronic scene around the globe as the clubs went into perpetual lockdown Fouk kept the faith up for us with a couple of ace releases from Clive From Accounts and Scruscru Meets Meowsn’ via their ace Outplay label. They also finished the year off strongly with a four track Fouk / Junktion split EP simply titled #2 via their Outplay offshoot label 24 Carrot.
It’s safe to say that we are BIG fans here at LV online and you can check out all manner of Fouk related features, mixes and interviews HERE. We also recently premiered Junktion’s Smokes from the latest EP which you can check below and he also laid down a superb deep house mix for us which you can check at the bottom of this feature.

To celebrate another top class year we asked Fouk to pick their three essential tracks of the year for us.

Dauwd – Idris [Psssh Records]
This track is quirky, it really stands out from everything that’s been released this year! The bass line and drums create this mysterious atmosphere while you bounce around on the groove and drums.
Haruka Salt – Pitch ‘n Itch feat. Fat Tony [Toucan Sounds]
This is from her HarukaMart EP. Very solid productions all round. It was hard to pick one track from this EP, as we love “Diamond Castle” as well!
Austin Ato – Feat. Laville – Control [Lumberjacks In Hell]
Absolutely love the simplicity of Control. This is a great example of how great deep house tracks don’t need to be complicated. And the vocals lift it up even more!
