Hailing from London Izo FitzRoy is a hugely exciting talent channeling the energy of classic female blues singers like Janice Joplin and the honest lyricism of soul legends like Bill Withers. Izo has toured extensively from America’s Deep South Dive bars to working with the finest New Orleans Jazz musicians and Grammy winner Jon Cleary. Along they way she hooked up with the brilliant Dr Rubberfunk who took over production duties for her debut album ‘Skyline’ which dropped in 2017 to critical success via Jalapeno records. 2019 will see Izo release her second album “How The Mighty Fall” where she has worked with some brilliant producers including Shawn lee and Dimitri From Paris.
Izo’s latest single drops on June 7th again via one of the UK’s best labels Jalapeno Records who have drafted in disco legend Dimitri From Paris on production duties alongside Cotonete. The track has a brilliant live fusing the funkiest of guitar licks with ever so smooth keys and some wonderful brass stabs. It’s easily one of the disco moments of the year so far with a full vocal version and our premier today the brilliantly emotive dubstrumental. Expect this one to go straight in the Le Visiteur DJ sets as I’m sure it will be for many DJ’s over the summer season.
