Fortunea are back following up strong releases with Peletronic and Jakobin with a wonderfully expressive synth heavy EP from Vienna’s Jon Gravy. The EP features four original tracks along with an excellent Red Rack’Em remix.
Opening with G Energy, it’s straight down to business with thumping club drums, powerful synth pads as layers of vocal stabs add plenty of texture. This is a track for very big systems.
Restless Soul is super deep with broken beats providing the forward motion. It has the feel of a Bladerunner esque sci-fi soundtrack with jazzy edges.
Our premier today is The Reason For with it’s 80’s electronic overtones, breathy vocals, bubbling bassline and trancey piano hook. A very classy track.
Can’t Believe is up next with 90’s house overtones. Powerful synth lines and subtle percussion push this one forward.
Seeing the EP out Red Rack’em goes to work on Over Now, again with 90’s feels the piano and chugging synths give this one plenty of stature. Red Rack’em has been on a real roll of late and this is another serious addition to his remixography.
