LV Premier – Lay-Far – Heartfelt [Eureka!]

Continuing his phenomenal start to 2020 Russian producer Lay-Far keeps the musical ball rolling with a classy four track EP Season Change on the super cool Japanese label Eureka!

It’s a label we fell in love with in 2019 with release of the Space Tribe EP by Pablo Valentino. You can check our review of that one HERE.

Dropping in late March it sees Lay-Far further explore his love of broken beat across three of the tracks with a super deep house dub of Where Would We Be making up the package.

You can check it out on Juno here: https://www.juno.co.uk/products/lay-far-seasons-change/767465-01/

First up is All Massive which sounds like a 90’s rave masterpiece crossed with a night at the coolest of Jazz bars. It’s heavy drums and bassline merge perfectly with those rave vocals and super smooth keys. Brilliant production.

Naive sounds like a 70’s afternoon TV series soundtrack given a 2020 re-rub with the full intention of getting plays at a Caribbean beach bar. Fun music and perfectly executed!

Our premier today is Heartfelt. It’s the deepest of the three breakbeat cuts on offer here. Again the drums drive the track perfectly. Add in key stabs and some subtle percussion and it’s a track which sounds like it should be getting payed at the coolest of Parisian venues. Smooth as you like.

The final track is the unreleased dub of Where Would We Be. This one see’s a distinctly tribal take on deep house. Swirling white noise and beautifully worked percussive hits merge with a moody key riff to create what is a bit of a deep house future classic.

Superb EP again from Lay-Far and Eureka!.
