Lawrence “Husky” Huskinson & Johann “Yogi” Willenberg’s collaborative project Random Soul has long been a go to for quality underground house music. With releases going back well into the 00’s they have amassed a huge body of work which has rightfully seen them build a huge following, with releases regularly peppering the upper reaches of the charts and pre pandemic travelling across the globe as DJ’s.
Following on from recent success with ‘The Word House’ and ‘Turn On The Radio’ their latest track ‘Vast Universe’ is another sumptuous slice of house music with a wonderfully urgent and timeless feel. Deep and incessant the pulsating organ lines are the centre piece here interwoven into beautifully thick and powerful drums which drive this one along perfectly.
Layered with spoken vocals it’s a track with has drama and energy aplenty while still retaining a wonderfully classic feel. The addition of the powerhouse synth bass, which gives Vast Universe bags of club power, is the final element which will ensure this is a track which will see DJ support for many years to come.
