Hailing from Glasgow Tiptoes first caught our ear a couple of months ago with a brilliant EP via the always classy Moment Cinetique. Now he is back with the debut release on his own label Tiptoes Tapes and its VERY special indeed. Comprising two tracks perfectly crafted for the dancefloor Let Go and Black Magic it’s effortlessly cool whilst turning up the heat for both the peak time club floors and also the deeper floors.
Our premier from the release is disco edged house bomb Let Go. It’s a track packed with instantly recognisable samples but one which still manages to sound super fresh for 2020 and which is packed with undeniable dancefloor energy. From the looped up brass licks to the vocal stabs it’s a track which captures the ear and feet simultaneously.
Backing Let Go up is Black Magic which is aimed at the deeper floors but which is no less essential. Club ready drums, a combination of well chosen vocal samples and a wacky lead synth all merge perfectly with some powerful synth stabs and a stomper of a bassline for a track which will definitely cause some club scenes.
This is a brilliant EP from a producer who needs to be on your radar right now!
