Shaka Loves You – Let’s Move [Bombstrikes]
It’s been a fantastic journey watching Shaka Loves You grow as artists over the last few years. From their frenetic DJ and percussion sets through the refining of their original tracks, mixtapes and radio sets you can see the hard work going in cross the board. It has all culminated in an ever increasing presence across the club scene.
Their latest release Let’s Move see’s them define their sound even more as they fuse disco aesthetics with Nu Disco flair. From the very first notes it sounds both very large indeed and wonderfully warm. There is the hugeness of the bassline, the ever so funky guitars and the immediateness of thee vocal loops. Layering the brass stabs and keys it all comes together for a track which is both perfect for the clubs as well as having enough of a story for repeated home listens.
Let’s Move is a feel-good track through and through, most definitely a slice of communal dancefloor joy.
