A-P Connection – Wide Vision
Founded in 2012 in Reims A-P Connection are a French Funk music duo, Antoine Perez and Pierre Bonnet. Both are influenced by the funk and disco music of the 70’s and 80’s. Playing at first only guitar and bass they have evolved into a wider variety of instruments allowing them to create their own compositions. With ‘Wide Vision’ they hook up with some killer artists from these eras to make a timeless album that will appeal to all generations. The album includes vocalists Denise L Wilknson, (from Ladies of SKYY), Howard Johnson, Heather Haywood (From The Cool Notes), Joyce Sims and Junior to name a few.

Bee Gees – More Than A Woman (SG Lewis Paradise Edit)

More Than A Woman, written by the prolific team of Barry, Maurice, and Robin Gibb, was one of the five original Bee Gees songs on 1977’s record-breaking and chart-smashing Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. The song also became a major hit as a cover, also featured on the soundtrack, by soul brothers Tavares. London-based singer, producer, and songwriter SG Lewis steps up with his new ‘Paradise Edit’ remix of this dancefloor staple conjuring up dreams of the post-pandemic dance floor that are within touching distance now. Let’s hope this is the soundtrack to a few of them as we come together to dance again.

Label boss Phil Cooper has invited some friends-of-the-family to put their own stamp on the Sicilian producer’s divine body of work. ‘Cosmic Sailing Remixed’ is a four track set of sublime reworks that transport Dario’s beautifully crafted pieces to a whole new musical spectrum. Once again it’s Crazy P’s Hot Toddy who delivers a stunning Balearic Disco revision of ‘Neve Su Acireale’ teasing out the bubbling electronica and percussive beats & working it into a deadly new production highly reminiscent of the Police anthem ‘Voices Inside My Head’.

Warm presents a collection of music from one of San Francisco’s best kept secrets, Dr Robert Blackman. ‘The Unimaginable DreamWorks’ is a collection of five tracks from three musical masterpieces he put out between 1983-1985 on his own ‘Riverwinds’ imprint. With Dr Robert Blackman at the helm he created a fabulous sound of twisted disco punk funk like no other that still sounds relevant today as it did back in the eighties. So who else to bring in but Lumberjacks in Hell’s head honcho Marcel Vogel to serve up a stunning edit that so far is unreleased and for radio promo only.
