Le Visiteur’s Disco House Tracks of the Year 2023
Antenna – Jazz Carnival
[Soulfuric Deep]
A long time classic underground club bomb on the more discerning disco floors Azymuth’s Jazz Carnival has been causing scenes since it’s original release back in 1979.
It was given a whole new lease of life by Andrea Bertolini’s via his Antenna project in 2023 and boy what a rework this is.
Capturing all of the essence of the original Andrea combined disco rhythms with floor shakin’ percussion and a whole lot of synth magic for a proper peak time bomb.

Jaegerossa – Side Of Soul
[Midnight Riot]
Jaegerossa continued his sublime 2022 form throughout this year with another slew of brilliant disco infused club gems.
We could just as easily have picked Richard’s Gear or any of his collabs with Yam Who for this list.
Side of Soul however was the track that grabbed the golden nod, helped on by my long time love of the original track.
Indeed this is a proper showcase in how to flip a sample and bring it screaming back to life.
Jaegerossa’s Side of Soul is packed with serious low slung funk and more than just a touch of euphoria, a wonderful combination.

Joi N’ Juno Feat Amane – Namaseo (Art Of Tones Remix)
[Tropical Disco]
If there was an award for my most played track of the year, Art of Tone’s take on Namaseo would definitely be in the running.
Packing in ear worm brass, hip shakin’ guitar licks, deft percussion and floor shaking drums and an effusive vocal it’s a winner from the first beat to the last.
Providing feel good party vibes aplenty this one still manages to stay well on the right side of quality underground vibes line.

Razor-N-Tape continued their dominance of all things disco this year with this late arrival from Ralph Session.

Sound Support – Bump Into You
[Toy Tonics]
Sound Support are Lars Dales from Dam Swindle and Lorenz Rhode (go to keyboard wizard). Safe to say that theirs is a collaboration that you could bet your house on.
Released back in April on the classy Higher EP, Bump Into You is a sweeping slice of deep delicious disco house.
Sultry strings, gyrating bass runs, squelchy keys and drums with a whole lot of ass shakin’ swing give this a real classy feel.
Subtle, funky as hell and oh so satisfying.
