Slightly Transformed is a label which has seen huge attention in 2019 and quite rightly so with the biggest selling compilation of the year on Juno Download.
They are seeing the year out with a monster release from the UK’s Conan The Selector. It’s all original feel-good disco house all the way with a very tasty vocal from Sherie. Big remixes on this package too come from Andy Buchan and Ash Reynolds.
This is a track which hearkens back to the glory days of funky house when music was all about fun, smiles and togetherness. It’s safe to say that we can definitely do with a bit of that as we see out 2019.
Our premier today is the Original mix and it’s beautifully produced, warm, crisp, funky and with a powerhouse diva vocal from Sherie and an ass shaker bassline of the highest order. Think the Freemasons at the top of their game and this one would sit perfectly alongside some of their best work. An unashamed feel-good peak-time party anthem.
On the remix front Andy Buchan adds some serious bass grit as he creates a powerful dub remix. A heavy bassline leads the way backed up by choice vocal stabs, some nice keys and atmospherics galore.
Closing out the package is Slightly Transformed’s own Ash Reynolds who takes it off on a slightly deeper journey. It’s still got the feel-good but in a chilling round the pool sort of way.
