Spanish label Poetry in Motion Records keep their outstanding run of form going into the new year with the return of German talent Erik Ellmann who lands a sublime three track EP Somebody Else. As you would expect from all involved it’s packed with subtle house gems aplenty.

Our premier today is the title track from the EP Somebody Else. It’s a track built via multiple guitar licks which provide both rhythm and melody with some tasty brass and key stabs adding meat to the groove. All comes together perfectly with an immediately recognisable vocal which will give this some great crossover appeal but which is used so creatively that it still remains well on the right side of very cool indeed line.

Dad’s Chords from the EP is also well worth tracking down for its deep sensuality, a warm and inviting track it none-the-less has energy aplenty through the drum programming to do some damage on the floor.

Topped off with Soul Brother this is another Poetry In Motion / Ellmann EP which will be an essential purchase when it lands.
