Soul Central have been having a stellar time since relaunching in 2019 with the line-up of Matt McKillop and Paul Timothy. Combining classic disco edged house vibes with powerful production and some incredible playing they have seen multiple outstanding releases on some of the best labels out there including Tropical Disco and Tru Thoughts.
Their latest remix see’s them step up to re-invent Australian serial chart botherer Sgt Slick’s ‘The night the lights went out’ to devastating effect for Australian label Vicious.
A huge bubbling bassline leads the way here, complimented by wonderfully warm and effusive vocals. Laser synths, car horns and vocal stabs all combine beautifully for a track which is packed with energy and excitement. Hands in the air keys bounce in and out of the mix giving plenty of excitement and variation as the track progresses.
This is another classic remix from Soul Central which will see them, Sgt Slick and Vicious head straight up the download charts if there is any justice.
