LV Premier – Shaka – Ohh No [Vibes & Grooves] & EP Review

Shaka’s three track Resist EP which is forthcoming on Vibes & Grooves is quite brilliant with more than a hint of future classic going on.

Lead Track Sign of Revolution has those feel-good 90’s garage dub vibes infused in it’s DNA. A bounce of a bassline, smooth synths, lazer keys and a fun synth top line all come together for a track which sounds like 1995 but equally will still sound ridiculously fresh in 2035.

Resist keeps those classic vibes going combining smooth keys with dancefloor shaking percussion and a wonderfully expressive synth bass.

Final track and our premier today is Ohh No, a brilliant slice of deep house. Another track with a fresh and timeless feel, it’s perfectly in keeping with the rest of the EP. Smooth deep and warm it adds in an ear-worm looped up Ohh No vocal which sets it off perfectly.

Loaded for the dancefloor but with enough cool and warmth for repeated home listens this is a sublime release.
